No Less Love

No Less Love was born out of Julia’s pure love and passion for animals and witnessing the hardships, pain, and struggles of the animals in Molweni. She has been visiting Molweni Township since 2022, despite its reputation for danger, because no one else she knows is helping the animals there. Julia has faced death threats, been held at gunpoint, grabbed, and stopped a rape attempt, yet she remains committed to risking her life for these dogs. In March 2024, she applied for a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) number, which is expected to be finalised by September.

Paws and Purrs

Paws and Purrs Rescue SA is a dedicated animal rescue organization for puppies and kittens, that came into existence in August 2022 out of a compassionate act of kindness towards five helpless kittens. With all local shelters overwhelmed and unable to accommodate them, Paws and Purrs SA NPC opened its doors and provided a haven for these feline friends. Little did they know that this humble beginning would soon transform into a remarkable journey of rescue, care, and love. Currently there is no lodging for the caretakers on the premises

National Clean Up Campaign - Operation Chenesa Harare

There are several campaigns being arranged during 2024 to clean up Zimbabwe, Operation Chenesa Harare to name one. Clean up campaigns remain one of the most powerful strategies to bring people together for a greater cause. The focus is not only to clean up solid waste generated by human activities including used or empty plastic containers, cans, bottles, paper, glass packaging, and other debris but also to bring the public and organizations together while raising environmental management awareness – Picking up litter around the country, removal of rubbish around wetlands, parks and natural forests and recycling.

Angel Project and #againstperiodpoverty

The Angel Project was established in August 2023 by Janine Storman-van Zyl and registered as a Non-Profit Company in September 2023. Janine recognized a significant need for an animal rescue and welfare organization in the Matzikama Sub-District, where the nearest SPCA is over 200km away. Many animals in the area are gravely neglected, abused, and have unmet basic needs. The primary focus is to provide vaccinations, sterilizations, deworming, and flea and tick treatments, collaborating with Vredendal Animal Hospital due to the lack of local SPCA services. The Angel Project raises funds through the sale of handmade products such as coffee pod angels, angel bookmarks, and angel keyrings. They also host fundraising events to meet the high demand for animal care.

Animo

Animo is a registered NGO that serves as a sanctuary, providing a haven for animals in need and maintaining its role as a valuable employer in our community. Animo does not receive funding from the government, and as a result, its ability to continue this vital work is entirely dependent on donations. Mauritius has enacted legislation through the Finance Act, making it mandatory for profit-making entities to devote 2% of their book profits to CSR activities to promote sustainable development. By contributing to Animo, it will assist entities in meeting these regulatory requirements. There is also a tax benefit for individuals when donating to a charitable institution. All payments will be receipted for transparency and audit purposes.
