Fund raising initiatives

The KZN region hosted a general knowledge quiz to raise funds to pay for the balls they donated.

The entrance fee was R25, and was coordinated by Project Champion, Josh Van Zyl.

The teams were divided into three using a team generator app, and the quiz comprised of 20 questions split into three categories:
•  General Knowledge: 10 questions
•  True or False: 5 questions
•  Office Trivia: 5 questions, focusing on fun facts about the staff

Once all rounds were done, teams swapped sheets and marked each other’s answers. The fun format made for plenty of laughs and standout moments:
The national animal of Scotland is the unicorn.
Kwanda Miya stood out (excuse the pun) as the “giant in the office,”
Vusi Sibiya earned the title of the calmest person in the office.

The winning team:
Adrian Fredericks, Anele Khathi, Jay Ragunath, Kumari Pillay, Kwanda Miya, and Laeeqa Hoosain, took home Krispy Kreme donuts and chocolates.

Overall, the quiz provided a fun-filled and interactive afternoon that not only supported a great cause but also saw us raising R1000

About the organisation:
Mtunzini is a small but distinctive Zululand coastal town, located just an hour from Durban. Perched on a hill and surrounded by rolling sugarcane fields, the village overlooks the Indian Ocean and is home to seven schools, proudly supported by the local community. Among them is Mtunzini Primary School a special and unique institution situated in the heart of the village. It was in this quaint school hall that the Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife Honorary Officers held their provincial AGM, where I was invited as a guest speaker to provide an overview of their current insurance cover, including Medi Vac, and to explain the benefits of both.
