#AgainstPeriodPoverty is dedicated to addressing the issue of period poverty, which affects many low-income and unemployed women and young girls. The organisation began with the sponsorship of 2 girls and has since grown to engage with numerous young girls, providing essential sanitary products and menstrual hygiene education. Period poverty is a significant struggle, with up to 7.7 million girls in South Africa unable to access or afford sanitary pads. This issue leads to 30% of South African girls missing school each month due to their periods.

The Angel Project was established in August 2023 by Janine Storman-van Zyl and registered as a Non-Profit Company in September 2023. Janine recognized a significant need for an animal rescue and welfare organization in the Matzikama Sub-District, where the nearest SPCA is over 200km away. Many animals in the area are gravely neglected, abused, and have unmet basic needs. The primary focus is to provide vaccinations, sterilizations, deworming, and flea and tick treatments, collaborating with Vredendal Animal Hospital due to the lack of local SPCA services. The Angel Project raises funds through the sale of handmade products such as coffee pod angels, angel bookmarks, and angel keyrings. They also host fundraising events to meet the high demand for animal care.
